Saturday Update

Rian Lindell has been ruled out for the Bills meeting Sunday, so Dave Rayner will continue the kicking duties.

Jeremy Shockey did not practice today and has not all week, so he is very doubtful for Sunday. Greg Olsen should see a ton of work in his place while Cam searches for a quick release outlet against the Detroit pass rush.

AJ Green looks very doubtful to play this week after hyper extending his knee. Jerome Simpson will be the the lone WR threat but faces Baltimore’s 6th ranked pass defense. Things just got that much harder for Cinci on the road against a defense which has been playing tough the last few weeks and will be releasing some steam after losing to Seattle.

Jacoby Ford and Darren McFadden have each been ruled out for Sunday which leaves Mike Bush and Denarius Moore as the two go to guys this week. Oakland travels to Minnesota and they will also be without CB Chris Johnson. I like the match up for the Vikings, especially Percy Harvin who will have an easier time with Johnson out of the picture.

Mike Vick and Jeremy Maclin are both game time decisions but neither practiced all week. To add to the issues, Rodgers-Cromartie has been ruled out as well.

Malcom Floyd has been ruled out for the Chargers, giving us another look at Vincent Brown and what the rookie can do. Brown has a chance to play big this week in what I think will be the upset of the day. The Bears will be without DJ Moore and Peppers has been ailing for a few weeks now. The Bears have still played excellent defense the past few weeks but have not seen a team with as many athletes as the Chargers. If Rivers can limit his turnovers, Chargers win.

Danario Alexander is very doubtful for Sunday and  Mike Hoomanawanui has been placed on IR. If Lance Kendricks is going to make a statement, this is the game. We should also a much healthier role for Mark Clayton who is slowly being worked back into the rotation.

With Leonard Hankerson sent to the IR this week, Jabar Gaffney becomes the only solid threat out wide for Washington. He andFred Davis will be highly targeted but there is nobody else you can trust out wide. I do like Tashard Choice, who is slated to play against his former team. Choice is also a decent pass catcher and will probably be as motivated as we’ve seen him all year. Shanahan should take advantage of his hunger so Choice is a sleeper candidate.
