Outfield Waiver Wire

The second half has only just begun, but there are quite a few injuries, especially in the outfield. Some players being nagged by injury are Ryan Braun, Chris Coghlan, and Jason Heyward. Owners know how important each week is down the stretch, so filling holes in your lineup will be crucial. You want to do whatever it takes to win, so finding a quality replacement is vital. These five outfielders will be worth looking at, especially when you come across an injury.

  1. Raul Ibanez OF, Philadelphia Phillies (Owned 84.1% ESPN/45% Yahoo): During his seven game hitting streak, he has 4 home runs and 14 RBIs (6 RBI game vs. ATL 7/10). His season numbers are .246/13 HR/48 RBIs/42 R.
  2. Ryan Roberts OF, Arizona Diamondbacks (Owned 96.1 ESPN/70% Yahoo): Roberts is hitting .355 with 3 home runs so far in July. He has hit 13 home runs and has 40 RBIs, as well as 13 stolen bases.
  3. Coco Crisp OF, Oakland Athletics (Owned 98.5% ESPN/55 % Yahoo): His OBP in July has been the best it has been all year, at .339. If you need a guy for stolen bases (27), or runs (44), Coco is a guy to consider.
  4. Seth Smith OF, Colorado Rockies (Owned 48.4% ESPN/33% Yahoo): Smith has been quiet in July (.240 and O HR), he has been good so far this season. He has 37 extra-base hits in 2011, including 24 doubles.
  5. Travis Snider OF, Toronto Blue Jays (Owned 64.7% ESPN/36 % Yahoo): Snider has been on a tear in July, hitting .391 with 2 home runs and 9 doubles. He has been a consistent hitter for Toronto in his call-up, hitting .256 with 24 RBIs.
