The AP Dilemma: Ride the Blount

I have read more crap about AP over the past 48 hours then any human being could possibly tolerate. I am psychotic. Of course when you spend a cool $1000 in one fantasy football league you are mentally ill. My ENTIRE season comes down to Blount, Moreno, Freeman, Jennings, Ochocinco, Witten, NE Def, and S Graham. I would have been better off doing a table max in Atlantic City and playing one hand of blackjack. One caveat- I’m that guy. The guy who splits two’s on the blackjack table because I’m feeling it. So lets break it down.

Adrian Peterson- Truth be told? He f’d me last year, the year before that, and the year before that. I won’t be taken as a fool. All the national fantasy football sites (fftoday, fantasyindex, fftoolbox) are afraid to drop AP out of the top 10 RBs. I’m not afraid and I’ll tell you why. Who is the starting QB in Minnesota? No its not Favre or Jackson. A man who WAS SIGNED TO BE A WR. Yes, you guessed it a WR….NOT A QB?  Joe “bleeping” Webb.

This translates into 8 man fronts. All the Bears have to do is stack the line and stick their noses up AP’s ass. Copy the NYG’s philosophy which allowed AP to gain a whole 2.6 points. I should have lost last week with my best RB having that pathetic output. Somehow I survived and I’ll be dammed if I’m going down with AP’s ship. I worked too hard to get to this point. Lets not forget that Chicago is the number 2 run defense in the NFL. Yes, you read that correct….the #2. Joe Webb is going to get raped. Along with Joe’s rape AP will be shut down. AP may be able to squeeze out a TD but I’m betting against it. There is a high likely hood that the Vikings will be shut out.

Lets not forget this game is OUTDOORS in Minnesota. The temperature at game time isn’t going to be conducive to anything. It makes Green Bay feel like Arizona. This isn’t Tom Brady throwing the ball in a snow storm. Its an unproven rookie that made the NFL as a WR and is now being used as a wanna be QB. Minesotta is a MORTAL lock to lose. In fact I wouldn’t play ANY PLAYER ON THE VIKINGS THIS WEEK. The best AP could possible do is 10-13 fantasy points. That my friends ain’t gonna get me to the fantasy promised land.

LaGarette Blount – Yes, Mr Blount is my solution. He is my savior. He is the man that will take me to the fantasy heaven or my zen garden if you will. Mr Blount is playing Detroit. Yes, Detroit. Their rushing D is 22nd in the NFL. A heck of a lot better then the #2 Running D. Detroit won their “superbowl” last week against GB. There is NO WAY they can repeat that performance. Blount’s only drawback is that he is not used in the passing game. However, since Blount has taken over primary back duties the TB offense has become more balanced. With Blount at the helm the TB Bucs have averaged 80 rushing yards per game. If Blount keeps to his average that is 8 fantasy points. If he pops in a TD or two his numbers jump from 8 to 14 to 20. I am going to need two backs to put up 20 points to get into the fantasy superbowl. I know Moreno will do it and I’m banking in Blount.

I’m gonna smoke the Blount into the promised land! For those of you that don’t believe? f off.

I had the great pleasure of putting the owner of AP out of the playoffs last weekend, so we don’t really need to worry about him.
I do, however, like the fact that the Vi-Queens will be starting a rookie WR at QB, AND playing outside in Minnesota in December at night in front of the MNF crew. Why? I have the Bears D/ST! I am praying for a shutout!
Even if BrettFarveBrettFarveBrettFarve begins a new streak, just a couple of hits should take care of that.
I played Vernon Davis last night, so I have a whopping 0.15 point lead. I need the other 9 to step it up so I can continue on the road to the promised land.

@Hawgman – sorry to hear about Davis. G luck w. Chicago. If it is not a shutout it will be damn close. I’m so depressed at the moment. My players have the worst matchups 🙁 praying for a miracle!
