Last Minute Blunders

Boys will be Boys. Don’t make those last minute blunders. If you need help reach out. I just had one flukester email me. He was going to start Fred Jackson or James Jones. Once I reviewed his waiver wire I recommended the “aggresive” approach of Deon Buter. Think about it logically –Mike Williams is going to matched up against Nnamdi Asomugha. This means Deon Butler will be a busy beaver. My point of this exercise is make sure you don’t ignore the waiver. I still think James Jones is a sneaky play. My only issue is that his role is still being determined in GB. Whereas, the Seattle you know that Deon Butler is going to see the ball this week.

Most leagues trade deadlines are approaching. This is the time to make the push. Move that dead weight on the bench and try like “bleep” to upgrade your positions. Just remember going down the stretch run you want to your starting lineup to be a no brainer. The Blitz this week on fftoday goes into great detail to explain this. Don’t make the last minute blunder at the trade deadline. Start thinking about your lineup now and where you need to improve.

This may seem obvious to most but Beanie Wells should be inserted into your fantasy lineup. The Arizona running attack has f’d me all year. However, it looks like a no brainer this week. I told you his time would come and Hightower’s would go. Drop Hightower from all rosters going forward.

Brett Favre is starting today and I firmly believe this is the death of the Vikings. For the Vikings sake I hope NE knocks him out of the game permanently. Favre has been a distraction to the team and a turnover machine. He is affecting AP’s value. Yes, AP is having a good year but with Tavaris at the helm AP would be a fantasy dream. For the record I do not and NEVER will endorse Tavaris Jackson in fantasy play. Toooooo many bad memories.

I know Kenny Britt is a must start but temper expectations. Young is back behind center and Britt was more of a beast with Collins. Britt will still grab a TD but don’t expect 40+ points again this year.

I pray every day for Brees. Without RBs he is in deep do do…. There is no way that beat the Steelers today without a legit ground attack. I have serious concerns that Ivory and Betts will be able to carry the load. I wouldn’t play either New Orleans back. I would still start Brees even against the Pitt D. Never bench your studs.

Watch the young WR in Oakland Jacoby Ford this week. He may be a possible waiver snag. If you have room you may want to grab him today as a premptive measure so you need not burn a waiver postion Wednesday.

Sorry bout the Kitna, Crayton, and Amendola recommendations….I don’t always get them right…all i can do is look at the numbers and give it my best shot.

Wells and Brees at least did their job 🙂
