Slam Dunk Waiver Starts

I know I have beaten the waiver wire to death this week but it is rare to have such a plethora of options.

Patrick Crayton / Craig “Buster” Davis – If Crayton is not picked up GRAB HIM! He is a must start this week. I love him for 100+ yards and a TD against a pair of rookie NE corners. Buster Davis gets a weak nod from me as a desperation start. If your options are Buster Davis or anyone I mean ANYONE on JAX then I take Big Buster Davis.

Jason Avant – I already commented on him earlier in the week and ya’all know I’m from Philly. Avant would be the #1 WR in Buffalo, JAX, Oakland, Seattle, etc…. you get my point. Avant is a strong play this week. Especially with Kolb because they already have a rapport with one another.

Danny Woodhead – I love him…bottom line. I am concerned that the game plan against Baltimore was designed for him and that he may not play as much of a role against SD. I have the amazing luck of having the choice to play Woodhead or Crayton this week as a flex…. I have gone back and forth all week and at this moment I say Crayton. Woodhead should have a decent week. Expect 10 points but not the magic of last week’s past.

Justin Gage – Kenny Britt got into a bar fight last week so there is a good chance he will be inactive on Sunday. Vince Young will also not go. So against the Eagles it is going to be the Kerry Collin’s show. This is a good sign for Gage as Collins and him go way back. Gage is a solid play as a bye week fill in. Typically, I don’t recommend WRs from run first teams. However, bye week fill ins are exceptions.

Jared Cook – While on the Titan wagon Bo Sciafe isn’t going to go this week. With Collins in the QB spot Cook is an intriguing waiver wire play for the TE. Cook has ball catching potential.

Deon Butler- the newly promoted #2 WR in Seattle had a TD catch last week. Mike “Big Man” Williams is the #1 there but I feel there is enough ball to go around this week to make Butler a viable play.

If I don’t get to ya all on Sunday good luck. I don’t have a strong feeling on the QB play of the week. If ya held a gun to my head I would say Matt Hasselback.
