Creaky Crayton and QB Waiver Wire Play

🙂 Smile Creaky Crayton is here for those struggling to find a bye week filler at WR. Naane has not practiced all week and is NOT playing on Sunday. I realize that Malcolm Floyd had a monster game last week but the Rams will at least keep Floyd in check. However they do not have the personnel to keep Gates and Crayton down. Crayton has done nothing to date but this is his week. He will line up as the #2 WR so with an offensive based team this is the perfect opportunity. The Chargers will SHRED the Rams. A blowout like this should give Crayton his day in the sun.

I’m also giving Matt Cassel the QB waiver wire of the week designation. With a secondary as horrific as Houston’s Cassel should be able to actually accomplish something in the air. I realize the my last 2 QB waiver plays have been poor but I think my luck is about to change. Dare I say that Bowe gets a TD this week?! Moeki might join the TD ranks as well with his play. He is just about the only player Cassel has any rapport with. I feel that Moeki is also a startable option this week.

In case you haven’t read the memo Josh Freeman is for real. I’m sure most fantasy players have realized that but if by chance he is out their on your waivers feel free to pick him up. He is having a probowl caliber season and received the NFC offensive honors of the week.

Another sneaky play of the week is James Jones. With Driver dinged up, Finley done for the year, and Jennings being a joke Jones is sneaking into the mix. He had 4 catches for 65 yards last week. I would feel confident starting Jones this week if you are in a pinch. Miami’s D is nothing to be alarmed by being just middle of the road. I know the fantasy folks are talking about Quarles (the 3rd string TE of GB) as a fantasy play. I just don’t see it. I’m on the wait and see approach. Especially with a slew of TEs available off waivers at all times.
