Orton’s Amazing Bunch

Sorry for the delay but I have spent the day working and attempting to salvage my fantasy season. Believe it or not I myself have been hard at work in trade talks. I will bring you my analysis of the multiple trades I am brokering in my big money keeper league once they are made official. Starting the season 2-3 in that league has me taking my own advice and shaking up my core roster. Kyle Orton is playing out of his mind passing for 1733 yards and 8 TDs. Whoever was able to grab him off waivers has got to be salivating at this point in the season. Is Orton that good or is he a product of the Josh McDaniel’s system? I’m not sure but I know this…Orton is the fantasy waiver QB of the year!

Orton’s bunch has been amazing this season. With no semblance of a running game the Bronco’s fate has been placed squarely on Orton’s shoulders and he has come up big for us fantasy owners.  Denver may be 2-3 but their WRs are fantasy gold at the moment. I can’t believe that Brandon Lloyd has 30 receptions for 589 yards and 3 TDs. I didn’t see this coming and I can’t argue the stats The fact of the matter is that Lloyd is the number 1 receiver in Denver. I had thought since early May that Gaffney was going to be that guy. Facts are facts and Lloyd has taken that role.

However, I’m still a Gaffney believer and although he may come up short of my 1100 yard 9 TD season he is still catching his share of the ball. Gaff has 31 catches for 327 yards and 1 TD. He isn’t getting the TDs but he is still getting his share of the possessions. Gaff is the clear cut 2 on this team.

This leaves Eddie Royal as the 3. Royal definitely is inconsistent. He can make or break your week. Look at his fantasy points over the first 5 weeks in classic PPR leagues: 17, 17, 8, 26, and 8. He has caught 29 balls for 330 yards and 2 TDs. Eddie Royal has transitioned into his role as the possession receiver. I would role the dice with Royal and insert him into a weekly lineup. I believe in upside and Royal’s potential week to week is too great to leave on the bench.

All 3 of these player should start in a PPR league. Consider targeting these players in a potential trade. I honestly believe that the Denver running game will improve once Moreno is back on the field. This can only help “the big 3” in Denver. Feel confident to start Lloyd, Gaff, and Royal. Is it me or do I dare say Denver isn’t missing Brandon Marshall?!

Danario Alexander – potential keeper stud. Just signed a 4yr deal with the rams today. Is an injury risk but was a beast at mizzou for the time that he played

JS you da man! Great pickup call. I didn’t even know who he was till I googled him. I’m putting in for him in my keeper league. With the plethera of CRAP in STL he may turn into a their #1 WR by week 8…
