The Flukie-AC Challenge Update 1

I entered into this impromptu challenge when this fantasy season started with one of my readers AC. So at the end of 4 weeks AC is currently beating the great Fantasy Flukie. Remember the premise of this challenge was to draft players with an ADP greater then 120. The purpose of this exercise was to see who was better at picking out the sleepers before the season began. So here is a chart breaking down the score based on a typical PPR scoring system.

Flukie                                                        AC

Jonny Knox 42.1                                Devin Aromshundu  12.1
Bernnard Berrian   8.9                      D amendola  45.4
Jabar Gaffney 52.0                            M Massaqui   16
Mike Willams  35.9                            Mike Thomas  43.1
Karim Huggins   0                              D Sproles 29.5
M Lynch 16.1                                       Donald Brown  18.7
T Choice  3.8                                        Leon Washington 36
Greg Olsen  42.9                                 Aaron Herandez  43.3
Josh Freeman  51                              Vince Young   43
J Campbell  16.1                                 Matt Stafford 1.3
Total  268.8                                          Total 288.3

Granted AC is winning but as the season goes on it looks  to be a dogfight. Devin Aroshumoda (on AC’s team) is now in the doghouse and most likely won’t play the rest of the year. AC’s failed picks to date are as follows: Mohammad Massaquoi (who even I was high on going into the year). He has a chance of reprieve with Delhomme back behind center.  Leon Washington and Donald Brown have not done much to date. This may change but I have my doubts.

I went out on a limb with Kareem Huggins and so far that has been a total bust. Especially now with LaGarrete Blount’s emergence as the goal line back in TB. I also blew it with Jason Campbell. I never would have thought he would have been benched by a journeyman this early into the season. Marshawn Lynch now gets a big increase in value with his trade to Seattle. My studs out of these scrubs so far are Gaffney and my man crush Josh Freeman.

Bottom line is that this challenge is far from over and I will keep you in the loop as the season progresses. I’m sure AC will have his own spin on this attempt at challenging the flukie.

  1. AC Slater says:

I picked Aarron Henandez befor anyone knew who he was and I took a flier on Amendola who has been a solid PPR guy. Mike Thomas speaks for itself he is a PPR machine. Fluckie you forgot to mention Bernard Berrian he is totaly Putrid. As for Devin Aromashndu we will see how he does when he is given a chance again Bennett and Hester are horrible.

  2. Seth Pollock says:

Fluckie you should tell your readiers that you fired me. So I am sorry AC I will not be able to do a follow up.

  3. The Fantasy Flukie says:

@AC- I give ya cred you picked up some good players….and YES BERRIAN is PATHETIC

@Seth- They won’t even miss you since you posted once a month. I doubt they even know who you are.

  4. Tom says:

I knew who seth was but I won’t miss him. The only piece I even remember him writing was something about sour grapes….or lemons I can’t remember.
