Kareem Huggins? A Fantasy Football Prospect?

I promised myself when I started this blog one year ago that I would bring fantasy players the knowledge. In particular with regards to sleepers. Today I was combing through my daily blogs and I came across Kareem Huggins. Bucaneers Gab is reporting that Derrick Ward may be cut and Huggins will be his replacement. FFtoday is also confirming this story.

Why you may ask do you care? Raheem is on the record for saying that “he will play the hot running back” during the season. We all know that Cadillac is the starter. But we also know that he has a propensity to get injured. This may open the door for Kareem Huggins to have fantasy value. If you are in a dynasty or keeper league he may be worth stashing on your bench. I feel that he is of greater value then Victor Cruz NYG WR. So far they are the only two “no-names” that have came to my eye in the first week of preseason play with actual numbers.

Victor Cruz – 6 catches, 145 yards, 3 TDs, 7  targets

Kareem Huggins – 8 carries, 55 yards
