Fantasy Running Backs on the Rise

CJ Spiller RB BUF – The fantasy gods are talking. Fred Jackson breaks his hand and Lynch hurts his ankle. The stars have aligned. CJ Spiller may be the steal of the running back class this year. I’m one of the few that is BULLHEADED in favor of Spiller. Buffalo doesn’t have much in their favor. The QB stinks and the WRs are sad. I can’t even bring myself to do a review of Buffalo’s fantasy implications. I would make a play for Spiller if you still can.

Jamaal Charles RB KC – He is still a relative value. Most drafts he is going in round 3. I’m a little nervous about him. Not because of his skill set but because of a wild card named “Dexter McCluster.” Not only did McCluster run the ball he also caught two passes in preseason. Even with that concern I feel that Charles is a bargain in round 3. I hate to say this but Charles and Mendenhal may put up the same numbers. The difference being Mendenhal is a first round pick.

Jerome Harrison RB CLE – It’s a tangled web in Cleveland but the leading Spider seems to be Harrison. They want to give the rock to Hardesty but he just isn’t ready. James Davis and Peyton Hillis are in the mix. Harrison looks ready to rock and roll for week 1. We will see what the future holds.

Brian Westbrook RB SF – No, this isn’t 2006. But with the sudden retirement of Glen Coffee suddenly Westbrook might play a role in SF. We know that Frank Gore is DA MAN in San Fran……we also know that he WILL get hurt. When that injury comes Westbrook might have enough gas to give you a couple weeks. He might be worth a stash as a cock block to Gore owners.

Arian Foster RB HOU – The RB situation in Houston is suddenly a little clearer. Ben Tate is out for the year. Slaton FUMBLED YET AGAIN in preseason. Arian Foster stands alone on top of the leader board. He is a great value in round 4-5.

Why oh why are WRs not on the rise this year? Oh, wait Victor Cruz NYG – Looks like a stud tonight…
