Even Steven

I just pulled the trigger on another trade in my keeper league. This my followers was my most difficult trade yet. As I have professed to you on many occasions I am in love with Felix Jones. Jerry Jones keeps going back on his word. One week Jones is the #1 RB and the next week Barber may win his job back. Then the press starts running with the story that Barber had a hole in his hamstring all year and that the hole is still there. Yet, Barber supposedly looks amazing in OTAs and has lost weight. I’m still on the Felix Jones bandwagon. He is too explosive not to be the #1 RB in Dallas. I have confidence that he will be a top 10 back by years end.

All that being said I traded Felix Jones and Pierre Garcon for Greg Jennings and Ahmad Bradshaw. Doc at Razzball agrees. A very EVEN STEVEN trade. Jones a high #2 RB and Garcon a high #2/low #1 WR for Jennings a low #1 WR and Bradshaw a borderline #2/#3 RB.  I may live to regret this trade in a year when Jones has a year of being the #1RB in Dallas under his belt.

I made the move for a couple reasons. First, Jennings had an off year last year. Driver started like gangbusters then faded down the stretch. As Driver faded Jennings came alive. With Driver having double knee surgery his production is going to fall. That leaves room for Jennings and Finley to elevate their game. This also leaves room for James Jones to get a shot as the #2 WR. So load up on Jones for those looking for fliers this year. Second, Garcon is a borderline #1/definite #2 WR. His is as proven as a second year player can be and he plays on a pass first offense. I’m a FIRM believer in the sophomore slump. Add that to my belief that Garcon is at his ceiling in fantasy value and you have a recipe for a “sell high” candidate.

As for Bradshaw I’m really not sure. He says he feels better but still isn’t practicing consistently because of  “foot soreness”. I feel Bradshaw MAY be a sleeper but the jury is still out. In the realm of fantasy Jacobs seems to hold much more value then Bradshaw. I think that is a mistake. Jacobs had a horrific year last year. Bradshaw out produced him on a broken foot. Based shearly on Bradshaw’s determination I’ll give him a spot on my roster.

Let me know your thoughts. Ya’all haven’t been shy before when saying I’m koo-koo! On a side note I would like to give a shout out to artofthefan.com. We just added them to our blogroll. They sell fantasy football tee’s. Draft time is coming around and if you are like myself buying t-shirts for your most hated fantasy player is always joyous 🙂 Heck maybe they will even give you a discount if you say you found them from us!
