Keeper League Fantasy Football Trade?

So the season is still over…But I’m ramping up for a wonderful 2010. Advanced services are coming to We will be having a premium serviceoffered by Islesguru. It looks like for $24.99 a year you will have unlimited access to the guru and his weekly rankings, team breakdowns, and plays of the week. This will be seperate from the classic services that offers. This site will remain a free site, no worries! Islesguru is just there for those crazies like myself that are looking for an extra edge!

Now onto this weeks content…

So this trade just went down in one of my keeper leagues…

JET Pachs trade Kenny Britt, Zach Miller, Matt Ryan and
Beanie Wells to Hebrew Hammer for Aaron Rodgers and Steve

Some would say this is a horrific trade. In fact I thought it was so bad that I sent cockroaches to the JET Pachs home. To truly understand this trade you need to understand each team and how they were constructed. JET Pachs were designed as a 2RB 2WR team and Hammer was designed as a 3WR 1 RB team.

At the end of the day one would argue that the JET Pachs got the better end of the deal. Rodgers is perhaps the #1 QB in fantasy play. Steve Smith NYG has tremendous upside. However Beanie Wells will be a top 7 RB this year. Zach Miller is the sleeper TE of the draft and Matt Ryan is going to have a better year then last. So it all comes down to Kenny Britt. Who, sad to say, has a long way to go. He is a #2 WR on a run first team. Lets be honest the Titans are the Chris Johnson show.

If the Titans were so confident in Britt then why did they draft Damian Williams? Let me give you one quote from an NFL scout on Williams – “is the No. 1 receiver in the entire 2010 NFL Draft and he will be an absolute stud for Vince Young to throw to in the mold of a Jimmy Smith. I really believe Williams is a No. 1 receiver – his route running and hands are on an elite level!” If that quote doesn’t tell the story then what does?

This trade is a classic example of an offseason owner who is not well informed of the 2010 draft implications. The JET Pachs capitalized on The Hammer’s lack of knowledge of the 2010 NFL draft.

—I will be posting my analysis of the rookie’s drafted in this 2010 draft tomorrow. Come back for the read. I’m back my Flukie Followers. Looking forward to a fantastic fantasy year. And if anyone has interest in fantasy baseball tidbits let me know. I’m dabbling in a league this year.
