Johnson and Johnson is fantasy success!!

Chris Johnson and Andre Johnson were fantastic this week. If anyone had any doubts about these two those thoughts are gone now. Chris Johnson put up 50+ pts and Andre Johnson had 37 pts in my PPR league. It was an odd fantasy week with Greg Jennings not playing though he was listed as probable. I played 4 guys that had Jennings in their lineups. Of course it isn’t too coincidental that I beat them all going 4-1 in my fantasy teams this week.  Moss and Brady losing to the NYJ? I’m not sure what is more surprising the loss or the fact that Brady and Moss both only had 6 pts!  Roy Williams only having 2 pts? Correll Buckhalter 17 pts? VERY interesting week.

So I was right about two things – Laurent Robinson and Percy Harvin. These two WRs are decent plays for the rest of the year.

Other then that I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. The Claytons were complete and total busts. Nate Burleson had some yardage but no TD (only thing saving me here is Hasselback’s injury).  Bradshaw was a disappointment with only 7 pts! The DET-MIN game was a lower scoring game then I anticipated. This made Chester Taylor irrelevant. I apologize if I steered any of you wrong. Welcome to fantasy play- expect the unexpected. I reach into my bag of tricks and take chances. Sometimes I’m the hero but today I am the ZERO.

Moving on there aren’t too many waiver picks that I see of much value.  The only obvious pickup is Mario Manningham (10 for 150 yds, 1 TD). Mario seems to be Plax’s replacement as Eli realizes he can actually run after the catch. Jason Avant (7 for 79yds, TD) for the Eagles is looking like a relief valve and possession receiver. The Eagles have many WRs so they spread the ball around. That being said I’m lukewarm to picking up Avant. If you are short in WR he may be worth a look. Other then that  Julian Edelman (8 for 98yds) had a good game in NE. This is mainly because Welker didn’t play. As long as Welker is out I see Edelman as a play. Since Edelman is a rook he holds some value in a keeper league. Jacoby Jones (2 for 73 yds) caught a TD for Houston. As long as Walter and Davis are out Jones may get some playing time. I don’t see him worthy of a waiver spot but I figured I would bring him to your attention. That is all I see for now if anything else comes to my attention I’ll throw it out there!

Go Indy! I picked them in my suicide pool so I wish them great success! I also want Garcon to have a great game to salvage my rep as the super sleeper WR finder!

I also apologize for those that did not get an email response from myself in a timely manner. We are in the process of updating the contact us page to directly deliver to my email address. You can always post a question to an article on this site and I can respond publicly.

Week 2 is in the books. Now all the posturing and trading truly begin. Here’s a tip- if you have Larry Johnson get rid of him now his value will never be higher!
