Scrubby Matchup Plays

So if you are desperate for some plays this week due to injury I think Laurent Robinson will perform. STL is playing WAS so they will be down hence throwing a great deal. Michael Bennett is a safe play if LT doesn’t go this week. Obviously Sproles is the go to guy without LT in the lineup. But if you weren’t luck enough to draft LT’s handcuff then Michael Bennett is your next play. He won’t put up tremendous numbers but he will get you 9 PPG in a PR league. Mainly because Sproles isn’t an every down back. He is too small and he doesn’t fit the traditional run between the tackles type RB. Isaac Bruce also has a good match up against SEA. SF is a run first team but they will still need “move the chain” receptions and that is what Bruce does. Don’t expect a TD from Bruce but he will give you 60-70 yds with 5-6 receptions. In the scrub vs scrub matchup Bruce vs Robinson I play Robinson due to the upside potential of scoring a TD. I walk the talk because I’m playing both Percy Harvin and Laurent Robinson this week. In my keeper league I made a gutsy call trading Randy Moss for Matt Forte. Initially people think I made a poor trade but once you realize it is a keeper league and Forte is much younger and cheaper (against the cap) you realize that I made a good play. If you are TRULY TRULY desperate you could start Garcon (see previous article) and expect him to pull in 7-9 pts in a PPR league. Not stellar numbers by any stretch but in desperation it’s not a bad play. I initially said not to play Percy Harvin this week. I have upgraded by opinion. Harvin is a possible play ESPECIALLY because they are playing DET.  Louis Murphy in OAK is also a safe play this week. I would venture to say he will be a safe play the rest of the year. He is the best waiver wire pickup to date with the exception of the broken down ole Cadillac.
