Waiver Wire PRESEASON GRABS

Here is a quick update on players that I feel are hot waiver wire commodities. News just broke that Kelley Washington is now the #2 WR in Baltimore. From the looks of the last preseason game in Baltimore the passing game will be a tad more prevalent this year. This immediately increases Washington’s stock. It seems that Flacco’s kid gloves are off and that Derrick Mason won’t be the only WR catching the ball. While we are on Baltimore it looks like Ray Rice’s value takes a slight hit. McGahee seems to be the goal line back. Don’t fret though Rice will still have the lion’s share of the carries and will still take some to the house.

It’s official though I have been saying it for a while. Laurent Robinson is the #2 WR in STL. Grab him if he is still out there and you are looking for WRs to spell your starters on bye weeks.

Here is a player that I totally missed this year. A league mate was high on him so I looked deeper. Hakeem Nicks is emerging as the deep threat with NYG. I should have seen this coming but my disdain for the Giants clouded my judgement. Grab Nicks now before people realize his value.

In keeper leagues Mike Goodson is the real deal in CAR. Though he won’t see too much time this year because of Williams and Stewart he will be a feature back in the future. Stash him on your bench now if you have the space and you will benefit in a year or so. Don’t forget Deangelo Williams contract is winding down and I do not believe CAR will resign him.
