Many of you already have your favorite QB in mind but I am here to present my twist to the numbers. Again going with my tried and true logic of averaging out their TDs over the last 3 years and adjusting for team changes (i.e. coaching change, injury, new team, etc) I have came up with the top 10 fantasy QB’s this season.

1) Tom Brady– He has greater risk/reward then Drew Brees. Being a gambler I placed him #1. He looks good though I will not say he is totally back to form. He has Moss, Welker, a decrepit Galloway and Lewis, and a possible sleeper in Edelman. The X-factor is Belichick who undoubtedly want to make Brady look Brady.

2) Drew Brees– With the aerial pass attack they have I would be remiss not to place him #2. With Thomas hurt it looks like the Saints will be leaning on Brees even more. With Colston back and Bush healthy this team will score passing TDs.

3) Peyton Manning- I’m not sold him this year but his body of work speaks for itself. His season depends on two unknowns 1) Anthony Gonzalez and 2) Austin Collie. If these two WRs step up and perform then Manning could put up the best numbers in the league. I personally see this as unlikely.

4) Aaron Rodgers– This is his year. One full year removed from the Favre saga he is ready to roll. He is under valued by most fantasy football analysts. He still has Driver who is Mr. Old Faithfull, Jennings in his prime, and a decent 3 in James Jones. This coupled with the healthy Ryan Grant bows well for his passing game. I would take him on the cheap in auction leagues or in round 6-7 in traditional leagues.

5) Phillip Rivers– If you read my previous article on auction leagues you already know I am very high on Rivers this year. There is no reason to believe that he can’t put up nearly the same numbers as last year. He already earned a fat new contract.

6) Kurt Warner- He fell on my list for one reason this year his injury risk. That hip just doesn’t look right to me in preseason. If my some miracle he holds up all year I would put him ahead of Manning.

7) Donovan McNabb- He asked for weapons in the off season and he got them. Bottom line with Vick there McNabb better perform or he will see the Philly fans calling for his head. We all know that Philly doesn’t have patience.

8) Tony Romo- Some fantasy websites say he is going to be a bust. I believe that he will still produce. But there is some concern with the Williams injury. There is unknown with Miles Austin lining up in the 2 spot. But Romo’s boyfriend Jason Witten is there to save the day.

9) Matt Schaub– Huge injury risk but also has the supporting cast to throw 4,000 yards. If he stays healthy then he is a steal.

10) Jay Cutler- Zero or hero. Either Denver was right and he is a premadonna or he will play to a pro bowl caliber with sub par talent at receiver.

Good drafting!
